Federal Tax Credits for
High Efficient Heating or Cooling Equipment

Federal Tax credits are available up to $500 in 2011 (for existing homes only) on high efficient heating or cooling equipment.

Equipment must meet the following requirements:

• At least a 16 SEER and 13 EER rating for Air Conditioners is eligible to a $300 rebate
• At least a 95% AFUE rating for gas furnaces is eligible to a $150 rebate
• Installing a system with an advanced main air circulating fan is eligible to $50 rebate

Equipment must be placed in service from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011.

Must be your primary residence.

Not all equipment combinations will qualify for the federal tax credit.

Ask the installing dealer to provide you with a Manufacturer Certification Statement for equipment installed and keep for your records.
